This release is a Limited Edition 12" (100 on Transparent Red Smoked vinyl). New life and an expanded treatment for this 1990 French House classic with the 2 Original tracks + 2 special dancefloor Remixes by none other than Marcoradi.

For his latest journey to dancefloors past, Archeo travel to the dawn of European hip house. Originally released in 1990, Bang Bang marked the debut of French producer Louis Corte, years before he would go on to chart success across the Eurohouse, Italodance and trance boom of the following decades. Irreverent, playful and fizzing with energy, the record captures a moment when hip hop attitude, warehouse style and continental club futurism danced to the same rhythm.

On the A1, the Original Mix comes loaded with crisp drum programming, infectious bass pressure and a barrage of vocal stabs and samples that place it somewhere between the peak-time rush of Technotronic, the cut-up surrealism of M/A/R/R/S and the pop-forward pulse of early C&C Music Factory. M1 organ riffs flash through the mix like a premonition of the house explosion waiting just around the corner, while bursts of beatboxing and a Francophone rap keep things leftfield and unmistakably of their era.

The House Mix, tucked on the B-side of the original, offers a more expansive and hypnotic take that dials down the rap in favour of pure late-night propulsion. Echo-soaked vocal traces drift through the mix while the bassline and keyboard hooks circle endlessly, working their way deeper into the brain with each pass.

Flip the disc and regular Archeo affiliate Marcoradi steps in with two brand-new reinterpretations that stretch the DNA of the original into entirely new territories. His main Remix locks into the groove and strips things back for a sleeker, more transportive ride filled with serotonin-soaked pads, wide-eyed stabs and bubbling acid pressure. Echoes of the original vocal drift through the haze while a sweltering Balearic guitar line arrives like a heatwave, weaving around chiming synth melodies to briefly recall the slow-motion majesty of E2-E4.

For his Ambient Version, Marcoradi turns toward hazier terrain, reshaping the source material into a lush Italian dream house excursion. Fragments of the original appear like distant memories, stretched, reverberated and splintered into glowing textures over a subtly refocused deep house pulse. Gradually evolving pads, euphoric pianos and softened rhythmic elements guide the listener toward a full-body emotional release. Immersive and hallucinatory in equal measure, this is music for sunny days, humid nights and tender sunrises.
